Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio

Historic Spring Grove Cemetery, located in Cincinnati, Ohio is the final resting place for over 40 Civil War generals and politicians. The cemetery, open to the public, is known world-wide for its beautiful grounds.
Years ago, the Cincinnati CWRT undertook the project of identifying the grave sites of every major Civil War figure buried there. This project was initially completed by Round Table members Jim Barnett and Paul Ashworth. Click on the map image at the right for a full-size map locating over forty generals buried in Spring Grove. In recent years, Round Table members Dave Mowery and Jack Simon have been hosting tours of the cemetery, focusing on different elements of its Civil War history.
